Happy Daylight Savings Sunday and Day 73 of Another 100 Days of Hannah, y’all!
First things first: I sort of really love daylight savings time.
I know, I know… what is there to love about losing an hour of sleep and having to totally recalibrate your body clock?
Sunshine, my friends.
‘But, Hannah, you do know that changing the clocks doesn’t actually change the hours of daylight in a day… right?’
Don’t worry, I haven’t completely lost it.
But that extra usable hour of daylight in the evenings is seriously a game changer.
As someone who’s body clock is pretty solidly dictated by the sun, more daylight in the evening means fewer nights of wanting to go to bed at 7:30p… which is wayyy better for productivity.
And, besides, that lost hour isn’t so bad if you change your clocks the day before to adjust for it!
(I actually woke up at 5a this morning without an alarm, like nothing had changed. Do I fully understand it? Nope. But, not complaining either.)
In other news… IT’S PI DAY!
Growing up (and by growing up, I mean from like 6th grade on) pi day was one of my favorite days to celebrate.
Probably because I love(d) pi.
Yes, I am that nerdy. Judge me. I really don’t care.
And because it gave us an excuse to eat pie (my favorite dessert) at school.
(Or, it was supposed to…)
Now that I’m older, let’s be real – it’s definitely all about the pie.
Does that mean I’ll actually take the time to bake a pie today?
Does it mean that I’ll probably spend an inordinate amount of time thinking about pie?
Yes. Yes it does.
And with that, it looks like it’s about time for me to head out to church.
Catch y’all tomorrow,
