Happy Saturday and Day 128 of Another 100 Days of Hannah …and Counting, y’all!
So, I’m blogging later than I anticipated this morning.
Admittedly, when I first got up, my thought was, ‘great, I’ll get up, I’ll make/eat breakfast, and be blogging by like 7:30/8a.’
And then I stayed in bed longer than normal, and didn’t have any food in the house for breakfast. I heavily contemplated not eating breakfast. Heavily. But, then I remembered that drinking coffee and taking vitamins on an empty stomach does bad things for Hannah’s.
Ugh.
So, after a skewed start to the morning, here I am!!
First things first then: y’all. If you’re reading this and you’re free this evening and know where the little one goes to school, you should seriously come check out the second night of his play!
Brief background: my little brother and several others in the choir (with the help of their director) wrote the entire script to create their own musical. And maybe I’m biased, but they did a pretty fantastic job.
I went to opening night last night and was genuinely blown away. So much so that I fully intend on going again tonight (even though I initially planned on staying home).
Was it perfect? No. There were some voice cracks, some pitchiness, a couple missed cues, and a few mic problems.
But for a high school cast, from the middle of a cornfield, with a first time director, y’all, it was legit.
So, seriously, if you’re in the area, come out tonight to support our local high school choir. Doors open at 6:30p, and the play starts at 7. Due to COVID, masks are required and seats are limited (200/night – free-will donation for tickets). You won’t regret it.
Hope to see ya there.
