Happy Tuesday and Day 166 of Another 100 Days of Hannah …and Counting, y’all!
Well, guys, travel week is upon us! This post is brought to you from my iPad in an adorable little cottage on the other side of the state! (The cottage came complete with cookies, fresh flowers, a grill and a patio! Bet you can’t guess where I’ll be charting from tonight!)
In any case, I’m back to the daily question of, ‘what should I write today’.
Ope – there we go, something just came to mind!
Last week, I discovered Deanna’s Song by Kristene DiMarco. It’s been running through my head pretty consistently ever since. My favorite lyrics from it are as follows:
Show me that your glory dwells, that your glory dwells in the ordinary.
Anyone else need a daily reminder of this?
Some days, I can be pretty good at rushing past the ‘ordinary’ things in my pursuit of the ‘extraordinary’. I look for the big moments of God working. I long for the times when I feel His presence strongly. I seek the amazing revelations, thinking that these, yes, these are the ways that God really works, all the while missing the beautiful displays of His love in my everyday, ordinary life.
And I am brought back to the call to simply be still – to be still and know that He is God, for when I am still, my eyes are opened. When I am still, I stop looking and start listening. When I am still, I stop longing and and start living. When I am still, my endless seeking turns to finding, and at once, I too am found.
Catch y’all tomorrow,
