Happy Sunday, INDEPENDENCE DAY, and Day 185 of Another 100 Days of Hannah ...and Counting, y'all!
As I was thinking about today being the 4th of July (my favorite holiday), I happened to think back for a second to this day last year.
I had just flown back from Houston to see my family for the first time in 7 months a couple days prior. It was a spontaneous trip, as a job opportunity back in Houston had fallen through just days before. I didn’t know how long I was staying, so no return flight was bought. I was simply glad to be home at long last.
At the time, I had absolutely no intentions of moving back home. In fact, it was about the last thing on my radar. I loved my life in Houston. I had a beautiful home, good friends, mostly incredible weather (minus tropical storms, hurricanes, and the mid-summer heat), and a wonderful church family. What more could I want?
Here I am though, a year later, eightish months into my life back in the Midwest, and loving (most) every minute of it.
Life’s weird and unpredictable. Embrace it.
Catch y’all tomorrow,
